Discover Lancaster Art Vault

Lancaster Art Vault (LAV) is the newest destination in downtown Lancaster’s vibrant arts scene. Our former bank building has been transformed into a stunning gallery and studio space, preserving its historical charm while showcasing contemporary art. With over 15,000 square feet of open gallery spaces and individual studios, LAV provides a breathtaking setting with high ceilings and natural light that highlights the beauty of each piece

This First Friday, Lancaster Art Vault presents a love letter to Lancaster through four new exhibitions, the launch of the Art Pad, and a special exhibition celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Lancaster County Art Association.

In the Main Gallery, Lancaster: Here & Held explores the landscapes, stories, and everyday experiences that define Lancaster County. Featuring guest artists Ann DeLaurentis, PJ Gilman, Jay Dombach, April Jarunas, and emerging artist Nicole Wesoloski, alongside 25 call-selected artists, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on Lancaster not simply as a place, but as a lived experience. From rolling farmland and historic barns to city streets and evolving communities, the exhibition celebrates the people, places, and shared experiences that make our region feel like home.

Resident artist Frank Nolan’s Colors of Lancaster is a quiet celebration of the beauty that surrounds us. Through a vibrant collection of photography and watercolor, Frank captures the warmth, character, and everyday moments that make Lancaster unique, encouraging viewers to slow down, notice the details, and rediscover familiar scenes through color and light.

Also on view is Buoy by resident artist Oscar McDonah. Continuing his exploration of industrial materials and function, McDonah transforms everyday materials into sculptural forms that challenge expectations of craftsmanship, utility, and aesthetic value. Through material experimentation, Buoy invites viewers to discover beauty in the unexpected.

In the U-Gallery, we are honored to present the Lancaster County Art Association’s 90th Anniversary Exhibition. Founded in 1936, the LCAA has been a cornerstone of artistic education, fellowship, and creative opportunity throughout Lancaster County. Featuring work by more than 35 members, this special exhibition celebrates nine decades of artistic achievement and showcases the remarkable depth and diversity of talent within our community.
