About Us

We Create Little Moments of Magic for Your Everyday            This Is Happiness Studio is a joyful art gallery and creative space in the heart of Lancaster, founded by artist and educator Emily Keener. The gallery features Emily’s playful, layered work—mixed media paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and handmade treasures designed to invite a little more magic into your everyday life.                       

Emily’s mission is to keep playfulness alive in her creative process and to share the joy of creativity with others. This Is Happiness Studio is a space to linger, create, and connect.

This month, This Is Happiness Studio celebrates 5 years, and next month marks one year in our Gallery Row location.

Mindful Marks with Milagro House
Meditations on Growth and Becoming                                      This collection was created by a group of women who have been gathering to make space, space to pause, play, and create.                Through mindful mark making, each woman chose a word to sit with:  Blooming, Growth, Courage, Confidence, Transition.                                                                                                                        These words became quiet anchors,
something to return to and notice over time.

What began as simple creative play became a process of reflection, expression, and becoming.  Each piece is like a visual journal page—holding a moment in time, a shift in perspective, or a step forward.  Mindful Marks is about showing up, paying attention, and allowing something beautiful to unfold.

Clay Play Workshop                                                                      This is a playful, open-ended clay workshop—an invitation to explore, experiment, and create freely. We’ll begin with a fun, hands-on introduction to clay tools and techniques, followed by time to play, build, and bring your own ideas to life. With guidance and support throughout, you’ll leave with a piece that is uniquely yours.
