Join artist and curio. Co-owner Matt Allyn Chapman as he leads this two week workshop focused on the use of Color Pencils.
Vibrant and exciting, color pencils lend themselves to expressive mark making, soft gradients, and bold image making. An excellent choice for those wanting to retain the control and precision of a drawing practice while exploring color, temperature, and contrast in their artworks.
The first session will focus on building a drawing from the ground up utilizing the color pencil in layers to achieve accurate, well observed drawings. The second session will see participants push into heavier color application, more confident decision making, and explore the capabilities of the pencils on a deeper level.
*The drawing in the promo image was created from a character created by Maurice Sendak’s “Where The Wild Things Are”
