Join curio. Gallery & Creative Supply for the opening of Connecting the Dots, a show featuring 60+ local artists! Each participating artist was provided a single circular canvas, and was asked to randomly pull from a pool of 11 colors. This chosen color would serve as the dominant in their pieces, but not the only color able to be used. The medium was open ended, the content was left to the artist to decide, and the results are a marvel of color and creative problem solving.
This exhibition aims to bring people together around their love for making things with their hands, their love of our community, and celebration of our unique perspectives.
We encourage risk taking, going with the flow, trusting your instinct, and pushing boundaries. As artists we appreciate “the challenge”. Working inside a loosely set parameter can still provide a freedom to be ourselves, while keeping us focused and pointed toward the goal of the exhibition.
Thank you to everyone involved, we love hosting community exhibitions, and we’re honored that this idea was so well received. What better way to welcome the change in season than with a burst of color and imagination, and expression.
