From vast natural expanses and urban scenes\nto surreal environments and abstract forms\, the works in this show challenge the boundaries of\nhow we perceive and connect to place.\nThrough vibrant hues\, tonal subtleties\, and expressive compositions\, Color & Place invites\nviewers to consider how color can be both a reflection of the physical world and a gateway to\nnew\, intangible spaces. DESCRIPTION:Nature Magnified is a collection of large-scale acrylic paintings that focus on the individual\naspects of the natural world. This series enhances the design elements that make up their larger\nwholes by exploring color\, texture\, and light. Each piece takes on a life of its own from inception\nto unanticipated outcomes\, depicting my unique interpretation of natural beauty.\nBeyond showcasing the obvious\, the sheer size of the subject matter encourages viewers to\nlook deeper. Color guides the eye\, inviting harmony and repetition or urging an examination of\ndesign beyond mere color. Texture contributes a sense of depth and complexity through high-\nrelief ornamentation\, intricate patterns\, and my organic style. DESCRIPTION:Collage is the art of assembling materials like paper\, photographs\, and fabric to create unique\ncompositions. It’s a process of creative discovery\, linking seemingly unrelated elements to form\npersonal expressions. With diverse backgrounds and perspectives\, participants—beginners and\nexperienced artists alike—learn from each other while exploring new ways of seeing and making\nart.\nOriginating from Max Ernst’s papier collé technique\, collage was embraced by Dadaists to\nmerge disparate materials into meaningful designs. In this workshop\, we’ll experiment with\nlayering colored papers\, newsprint\, tickets\, string\, and fabric\, transforming everyday objects into\ncompelling visual stories.\nThrough playful exploration\, we’ll challenge perspectives—altering contexts\, adding or\nsubtracting elements\, and integrating paint or crayon for a mixed-media approach. From abstract\npatterns to figurative imagery\, participants will build compositions through repetition\,\nsuperimposition\, and textural contrasts. Found objects\, discarded items\, and unexpected\nmaterials will be assembled into dynamic 3D structures.\nCollage is more than an art form—it’s a way of thinking\, a visual meditation on emotion\,\nexperience\, and identity.
