From vast natural expanses and urban scenes\nto surreal environments and abstract forms\, the works in this show challenge the boundaries of\nhow we perceive and connect to place.\nThrough vibrant hues\, tonal subtleties\, and expressive compositions\, Color & Place invites\nviewers to consider how color can be both a reflection of the physical world and a gateway to\nnew\, intangible spaces. DESCRIPTION:Nature Magnified is a collection of large-scale acrylic paintings that focus on the individual\naspects of the natural world. This series enhances the design elements that make up their larger\nwholes by exploring color\, texture\, and light. Each piece takes on a life of its own from inception\nto unanticipated outcomes\, depicting my unique interpretation of natural beauty.\nBeyond showcasing the obvious\, the sheer size of the subject matter encourages viewers to\nlook deeper. Color guides the eye\, inviting harmony and repetition or urging an examination of\ndesign beyond mere color. Texture contributes a sense of depth and complexity through high-\nrelief ornamentation\, intricate patterns\, and my organic style. DESCRIPTION:Join Marcy Stone at Lancaster Art Vault for an evening of fun\, creation and exploration!\n We supply everything you will need for this event\n Wear clothing that can get messy! Real messy! (We do supply aprons)\n Tie long hair back\n Gloves and shoe booties will be supplied\n This is a standing workshop so if a chair is needed\, please let us know in advance by\nemailing soulfullartbymarcy@gmail.com\n Once completed\, the art will need to stay and dry. Marcy will varnish and work out\narrangements to get your masterpieces back to you.\nFluid acrylic art is an abstract painting technique that involves pouring and turning thin\, liquid\npaint\, mixing with mediums and powered pigments\, onto a canvas or other surface.  The paint’s \nfluid consistency allows it to move and spread freely\, creating organic shapes.
