DESCRIPTION:In this two session workshop local Artist and Designer Julia Rivera will guide participants as you explore using the Coptic stitch as a method of binding a hardbound book of your own. A Coptic stitched book creates a lay-flat design that is ideal for sketching\, painting\, and writing. This workshop will also cover tools usage\, paper tearing\, folding techniques\, & cover creation. Each attendee will leave with a hand-sewn book of their creation. \nThe thrill of making your own book to hold your thoughts\, ideas\, and observations is one that never tires. Curio. looks forward to hosting Julia for this really exciting workshop! \nHardcover Bookmaking with Julia Rivera is a two session workshop meeting on Thursday November 2nd and 9th 6:30-9:00pm.
